Canary is more than a brand — it’s a call to awareness and action. We believe in freedom, equality, and the right to resist injustice. That’s why we proudly donate at least 20% of our profit to The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), helping defend the rights and liberties of all people across the United States.

The phrase “canary in the coal mine” evokes an image of a small bird serving as an early warning system—bravely alerting miners to invisible dangers before catastrophe strikes. Philosophically, the canary represents those who speak up, stand out, and act as a messenger of awakening for others. Just as the canary once risked its life to save the lives of miners, today’s activists, artists, and citizens act as “canaries” in our social and political ecosystems—raising alarms when freedom, equality, and justice are under threat.
